Prof. Kapila will speak about experiences in Sudan where he was head of the United Nations ten years ago. He will share his insights on why we failed to stop the first genocide of the 21st century in Darfur despite the lessons of the last genocide of the 20th century - in Rwanda - where he was also present. He will reflect on what to learn and what we must do, if we are not to be doomed to repeat history.
