Public talk on Against a Tide of Evil – Individual accountability and collective responsibility for preventing genocide
17 Nov, 2013
Los Angeles, United States of America - Temple Isaiah - 10345 West Pico Boulevard
Mukesh Kapila will give a public talk about his experiences in Darfur ten years ago. He will share his insights on why we failed to stop the first genocide of the 21st century despite the lessons of the last genocide of the 20th century - in Rwanda - where he was also present. He will also address what we must do to prevent such heinous crimes recurring elsewhere. Dr Kapila will also be awarded the I Witness Award by Jewish World Watch, for his years of leadership and dedication in building an international response to the genocide in Darfur, as well as his persistent advocacy for minorities at risk worldwide.
