The Columbia University Club of Switzerland, Geneva Chapter invites alumni and friends to a lecture "Tackling the ultimate evil: A question of personal responsibility" with Dr. Mukesh Kapila. Drawing on his first-hand experience of the devastating consequences of the Rwandan genocides in the nineties and of the on-going one in Darfur, Dr. Kapila will speak from his heart to raise awareness about, and put an end to, such violence. The discussion will start with the avant-premiere airing of a short film from the front lines on the crimes against humanity currently taking place in South Sudan. The issues addressed will include: What roles can national governments and the international community play to stop genocides and other atrocities from taking place? Have these institutions failed? What can be done?
