Road campus, Kingston University - Penrhyn Road, Kingston upon Thames, Surrey KT1 2EE Former United Nations Sudan chief Dr Mukesh Kapila will reflect on his experiences in Darfur when he attempted to alert the world to the unfolding genocide, and consider the current crises in Sudan today. There has been little peace and no justice for the people in Darfur. The architects of the crimes committed there remain at large. The Sudanese government continues to commit atrocities and other crimes against humanity throughout its borderlands. Dr Kapila will highlight the importance of individual accountability as well as collective responsibility in the prevention of genocide and other crimes against humanity in Sudan and around the world.
